Start with the Packed Item and Handling Risks
Record the product dimensions and mass, sharp edges, loose or detachable parts, surface sensitivity, required visibility, packing method, opening cycle, retail display and transit conditions. These inputs determine what should be reviewed for dimensions, film, closure, printing and packing.
If recycled content, restricted substances, suffocation warnings, toy or child-safety labeling, food contact or other market requirements apply, name the destination and required evidence in the RFQ. A general material certificate does not by itself prove that a finished bag meets a product- or market-specific requirement.
What the Written Review Should Confirm
Construction and dimensions — Bag style, opening, gusset or fold allowance, width, length and thickness basis, including tolerances.
Material and performance — Required visibility, stiffness, puncture or tear behavior, seal or closure performance and the agreed test method.
Printing and retail details — Final artwork, color count, print area, barcode, warning text, hang-hole or display detail and approved proof.
Commercial terms — Quantity by SKU, packing, Incoterm, delivery point, quotation validity and separate production and logistics schedules.
Samples and evidence — Sample type, representativeness, charges and courier terms, plus the measurements and records required before release.
Packaging Challenges in Household & General Merchandise
Hardware, toys, stationery, bathroom accessories and kitchen tools create different puncture, abrasion, part-retention and display risks. A closure is not automatically tamper-evident or child-resistant, and a bag should not be described as protective without a defined test using the actual packed item.

Compare flat, self-adhesive and zip lock bags using the same packed item, handling process, opening cycle, dimensions, film requirement, printing, packing quantity and acceptance test. No construction is automatically the lowest-cost or most protective option without that common basis.
