How to Measure a PE Bag
PE bags are measured in three dimensions: Width (W) × Length (L) plus optional Gusset (G). All measurements are taken with the bag lying flat.

• Width — Measured across the opening of the bag
• Length — Measured from the opening to the bottom seal
• Gusset — The expandable side panel that allows the bag to hold more volume (for gusset bags only)
• Always measure in millimeters (mm) or inches — be consistent when sending specs to your factory
A general rule: your bag should be 15-25% larger than your product on each dimension to allow easy insertion without being too loose.

- Add 20% to each dimension for easy insertion — a tight bag is frustrating to pack
- Decide bag type — Flat bag for simple packaging, zip lock for resealable, self-adhesive for easy seal
